The chief focus before thinking of getting rescued by anyone when stranded, is to survive for an unknown, likely long period of time. Conflict is something that must be avoided to it's fullest extent, as it will only delay our chances of escaping or being rescued; thus, the "Oceanographers"'s constitution is made to minimize conflict, maximize survival, and maximize complex thinking due to having a rotating chief every week. The bulk of the group's survival in terms of food and raw necessities relies upon the hunters, farmers, breeders, and rationers. The four work in an assembly line process, with hunters gathering and hunting livestock, farmers providing a secondary source for food as well as food for the livestock, the breeders domesticating the livestock, and the rationers prepping and distributing the necessary amount of food to everybody. Of course, the maintenance aspect is equally as important, as the house maintanence group will be in charge of building and maintaining shelters for the group to reside in. Warmth maintanence takes care of the fire, and the water maintanence group will fetch and store water as needed. Our rescue will depend mainly depend on the chief, as the chief in power will help out wherever needed as well as being the main individual to devise a plan as to how to escape the island. The typical plans are of course considered and would be worked upon first (S.O.S, large fire to attract aircraft and ships, etc.), though, more secure backup plans will be devised and worked upon. These ideas turn into projects, for which each succeeding chief can decide to develop further or change. The "Oceanographers" current project is a life raft made of the on-island wood.
